Purpose Statement

Recovery at Clay Street operates under the guidance and direction of First Baptist Church in Kingsport, Tennessee. Our mission is to guide participants toward a physical, mental, and spiritual sobriety through the teaching of scripture, biblical-based 12 step programs, small groups, and personal encouragement.

Confidentiality and anonymity are required from leaders and participants at all times. Who we see and what we hear during small groups or testimony time will remain confidential to anyone outside of Recovery at Clay Street.

Our small group descriptions below are intended to serve as an overview of some of the small groups we offer, but is not intended as an all-inclusive description of all small groups.

The 13 week Divorce Care group is designed to help you work through the emotional pain of divorce. Our Divorce Care leaders are those who have healed from the impact of divorce and can minister to those who have just completed the walk.

The Divorce Care Workshop uses the video-based curriculum called Divorce Care, offering a structured process that facilitates healing from divorce. This is a 13-week group that involves teaching and group discussion. The cost is $15 per person and includes workbook materials.

Chemical Dependency small groups are designed to help you work through the trauma of chemical addiction.  Our leaders are men and women who have healed from the destructive tendencies related to addiction and they are able to assist you in proven methods that can lead to a fullness of life in Christ.

Families of addicts give adult family members a support group that will help participants process their pain, find hope and deal with the associated challenges of having a loved one addicted to opioid’s.
